Let's work out together!
Hello My name is Brittany Chantyl and I love to help people overcome hurdles that are stopping them from being the best version of themselves. Yes, we all struggle, but we have to break each struggle down one at a time. As I figured out how to overcome one of the biggest challenges that we face here in America (obesity), I want to extend my knowledge and level of experience to help you get your life back by restoring health through fitness.
Most people don't know -- I was born with 2 holes in my heart and was finally cleared at the age of 9 from doctors at UCLA, which seemed like a lifetime. As an adult, I didn't even make an effort to go to the doctor, because I knew the choices that I was making regarding my health, were really bad. At the age of 31, I took the initiative to see a doctor. After receiving the results from the doctor, now as an adult, I was then told that I needed open heart surgery because one of the holes did not close. Thank God I went when I did. Some people wait until the last minute to see about their health, and that very well could be their last minutes alive.
My healthy journey started in 1998 when I was 13 years old. My father saw me struggle my whole youth, weighing in at 300lbs at the age of 13, he said to me “Brittany, if you lose weight, I’ll buy you a car. So, at the age of 15 I went from 300 lbs to 145. I was motivated by that car. So, now that my waist was smaller and my appearance had completely changed, people finally approved of me. I had new friends and a new look. Little did I know, that I would still feel this void, because people’s approval would not suffice. Unfortunately, people build friendships and relationships off one’s appearance. I spent many days crying, because I wanted to fit in, but not at the expense of being someone else. I wanted to be liked/loved for me. One of the greatest lessons learned throughout my health journey is -- love yourself because there is only one chance at life!
After all the pills and unhealthy resources I used to lose my weight, I gained all the weight back and then went to 400lbs by the time I was 24 yrs old. At this point, I hit my rock bottom. I could hear myself screaming on the inside "I cant do this any more". I visited my dermatologist and he gave me the uncut version of my future and simply told me "I was going to die if I kept up this life style of drinking and eating what I want, when I want" --- 6months went by and I was down 80lbs. As time progressed, I began to move so much easier at the gym, providing me a different experience compared to when I was bigger. It took me a year and a half to lose 150lbs at the time. I am NOW down 226lbs by hard work, exploring every diet, and finding out what works for me. Within the last 12yrs of experience, I have learned so much about the human body.
One of the hardest things I had to face concerning my health and fitness is . . . being told I may need open heart surgery at the age of 31 years old. Although it was hard, I had to fight for myself. I was intentional about making healthy decisions. I still have 1 hole in my heart, but I am cleared because I am very active and have built my heart to be strong through all of my hard work.
Health has always been a major factor in my life because of the radiance it brings to my soul and the energy I feel is indescribable. This has taught me a different way of life through selflove and humility.
For me, nutrition starts with consistency and understanding. Allow me to educate you on these topics to help you thrive in a society where healthy living can seem unreachable. I help people to improve mental stability by eliminating barriers and applying pressure to areas that produce good and healthy results.

I understand that life gives us challenges, and some of us choose to remain in a state of depression because we feel like there is no way out of a specific situation, when in fact the only thing that is keeping you there, is doubt. I have watched people start their fitness journey with this state of mind and begin to build and sort out their problems threw discipline and perseverance. I am here to tell you it hurts either way (staying depressed or stretching your body's limitations). However, fitness provides a good hurt. It is simply identified as Growth! Look at it this way --- It's like having heavy weights weigh you down, you can either let it hold you down, or you can apply your muscles and with everything within you, you begin to lift it up! Yeah, it may cause you a little pain, but in the end, as you are standing on all 10 toes, it is absolutely worth it. I know to well that it is not easy, but I can tell you it offers promising results. I am here to help you stay focused because you matter. Your future and mobility matters, your self esteem matters, your life as a whole matters. I don't want to just show you hope, I am going to give it to you through the power of self-care and -- GRIND!
